We are a progressive construction consultancy firm, providing services in cost management, project management, and a range of specialist consultancy solutions. Our office in Gqeberha, South Africa currently has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
Job description
The primary focus of our South African office relates to the pre-construction phases of projects. But opportunities will arise for involvement at post contract stage on projects. You will liaise with colleagues and other consultants and clients, attending meetings virtually and communicating directly with other team members.
From our South African office, you will have access to our full range of training and CPD tools. Including the opportunity to attend (and present at) our internal CPD programme, and you will have full access to our online training and development library.
The suitable candidate will be based in the South African office, located in Gqeberha and should have the following attributes:
Professionally registered Quantity Surveyor (SACQSP, RICS).
Strong measurement skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self-motivated / team player.
Ambitious / pro-active.
Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Willing to learn and apply the Agreed Rules of Measurement.
Willing to learn and apply the use of CostX measurement software.
Willing to be flexible to attend meetings that might extend after normal SA working hours, due to time zone differences (these are generally arranged well in advance and can be planned around on a particular day).
